PUR Cosmetics Sunkissed Glow Strobe Palette Review
Are you ready to glow this summer? Of course you are! Nothing says summer like a smooth, dewy complexion with lots of glow. That’s why I’ve been stocking up on highlighters lately because a girl can never glow too much once summer hits. One of the newest additions to my highlighter collection is the new PUR Strobe Palette in Sunkissed Glow. It’s a cream highlighting palette featuring 3 stunning shades designed specifically with us glow junkies in mind. From the moment I laid eyes on the PUR Sunkissed Glow Strobe Palette I knew I had to have it!
The PUR Sunkissed Glow Strobe Palette comes in the most lovely bronze and gold packaging that feels solid and incredibly luxe. PUR Cosmetics packaging typically features cheap plastic and cardboard but the new Strobe Palettes seem to be taking the brand in a new, higher end direction that’s looking mighty fine. I’m really digging it! Although the packaging is absolutely beautiful, it’s certainly not the best part of the Sunkissed Glow Strobe Palette. The stars of the show are definitely the highlighters!
The Sunkissed Glow Strobe Palette features 3 warm shimmering cream highlighters including:
- Dusk champagne gold
- Solar peachy pink
- Aurora golden bronze
It’s the perfect highlighting palette for medium to dark complexions with normal to dry skin as the warmer, deeper tones are extremely flattering and delivers such a beautiful natural glow. Each shade has a very soft, creamy texture that’s incredibly lightweight but not too emollient so it’s very easy to apply and blend without slipping all over the place. Most highlighters feature a ton of chunky glitter but PUR took a much softer approach with the Sunkissed Glow Strobe Palette. Rather than frosty glitter, PUR opted to load up each highlighter with very fine shimmer that’s gives off a more subtle, luminous glow. The result is a sheer, luminous glow that’s very subtle but can be layered for more of a pronounced golden goddess glow.
I’ve worn used the Sunkissed Glow Strobe Palette a ton of different ways and I’ve been very pleased with the result each time. Whether I use my fingers or my trusty MAC 159 Brush, each shade applies like a dream going on smoothly and blending with ease. The Sunkissed Glow Strobe Palette also works well with different foundation formulas too. I’ve tried it over my Too Faced Born This Way Foundation and my Urban Decay Naked Skin Powder Foundation and the Sunkissed Glow Strobe Palette played nicely with both. The creamy formula didn’t seem to disrupt my foundation (or concealer) much at all–especially when using a brush. I also found that each shade layered nicely for a more pronounced, intense glow. You can easily layer them alone, mix them together or even top them off with a powder highlight for a crazy stunning glow that’s absolutely beautiful.
Overall, though the PUR Sunkissed Glow Strobe Palette is a win in my book! The formula is smooth and creamy without being too thick or emollient and the staying power is pretty nice too. Each shade lasts for around 8 hours on my dry cheeks before showing some slight signs of fading. I also love how the creamy formula doesn’t emphasize the texture of my skin. Instead, it simply makes my complexion look soft and radiant with a very natural glow. The PUR Sunkissed Glow Strobe Palette is pretty much heaven sent for my dry skin! I definitely think the Sunkissed Glow Strobe Palette is a great highlighting option as it provides pretty much all you need to customize your perfect bronzy glow for summer. The shades may run a little too dark and warm for my fair gals and my oily skin gals may find the Sunkissed Glow Strobe Palette a little too creamy for their taste. However, if you have normal to dry skin and a medium to deep complexion I think you’ll love the PUR Sunkissed Glow Strobe Palette just as much as I do!
