Tarte Lights, Camera, Flashes Statement Mascara Review

Tarte Lights, Camera, Flashes Mascara

Since I’ve started working at Ulta, I’ve made it my mission to explore different brands. Like Tarte. Before the Tartelette Collection caught my eye I never paid much attention to Tarte. Now, I’m a huge fan of their eyeshadows and after trying one of the new Double Duty Beauty Collection lipstick and gloss I’m a big fan of their lippies too. So I figured I may as well whip out the Lights, Camera, Flashes Statement Mascara mini I received a while back to see if Tarte’s mascaras would tickle my fancy too.

So does the Tarte Lights, Camera, Flashes Statement Mascara really make a statement?

Tarte Lights, Camera, Flashes Mascara

It does! The Tarte Lights, Camera, Flashes Mascara is a lengthening formula also designed to curl and magnify lashes with intense volume. It’s pretty much an all-in-one mascara that does it all! It features a chubby plastic spiked wand that does seem a little big at first but is very easy to use and grips each lash like a pro. My lashes are very short, stubby and unruly so I often struggle with finding a good mascara that makes them look noticeable from a distance. However, the Tarte Lights, Camera, Flashes Statement Mascara definitely helps my lashes standout more as it lengthens very well and gives my lashes a good boost of volume and a flirty curl too.

I often find myself reaching for Lights, Camera, Flashes on my no makeup days when I just need to run a few errands but still want to look like an actual human with eyelashes that aren’t almost invisible. My favorite way to wear it though is paired with falsies. The Lights, Camera, Flashes Statement Mascara makes a good base for my falsies to adhere smoothly and blend easily without short, stubby lashes peeking through. It also looks beautiful on my bottom lashes as the formula really helps them pop making them look long, flirty and girly.

The formula wears very nicely too. I have very watery, allergy-ridden eyes that like to tear up at the drop of a dime. Especially in the morning as I’m applying my makeup. Lights, Camera, Flashes still holds up like a champ though applying smoothly even while my lashes are a bit wet and lasting nicely throughout the day without flaking, smudging or smearing onto my lids for over 8 hours. I wasn’t sure what to expect from the Tarte Lights, Camera, Flashes Statement Mascara at first but now that I’ve tried it I can certainly see why so many people love it!
