LORAC Take Me To TANtego TANtalizer Bronzer Palette Review
There’s plenty of things you need in the summer like water, sunscreen, cute dresses and bronzer. Sunscreen and water are at the top of the list but the cute dresses and bronzer are a really close second for me. Everyone needs a good breezy outfit and a sunkissed look to happily get through the summer. I’m still in the market for more summer dresses but I think I’m officially all stocked up on bronzer for the next 3 summers. I was already pretty covered with my favorite brown girl friendly bronzers but the cute packaging and names of the new LORAC Take Me To TANtego TANtalizer Bronzer Palette lured me into adding it into my collection. I mean, a girl can never have too many bronzers!
The LORAC Take Me To TANtego TANtalizer Bronzer Palette features 2 matte bronzers and 2 shimmering bronzers to help you add warmth, dimension and a little definition to your look this summer. It took me a while to jump on board and finally snatch up the Take Me To TANtego TANtalizer Bronzer Palette because it seemed to work best for light to medium complexions but after weeks of swatching and debating I decided to go ahead and try it out. I’m not going to lie. Part of me likes it but part of me is also disappointed that there wasn’t a deeper version for my dark skin divas.
The 2 matte shades, TAN Antonio and TAN Diego, aren’t really my cup of tea. TAN Antonio, a light caramel bronze, is much too light and looks chalky if I pile it on in an effort to get it to show. TAN Diego is a little better as it acts as a subtle contour but I have to layer it on a bit for it to really pop. Even then, I still have to be careful not to apply too much or else it’ll start to look too dark and muddy. I find that TAN Diego works best when used to set my cream contour and as an eyeshadow when paired with TAN Antonio in the crease. I’m not the biggest fan of using them alone.
The shimmering bronzers, Cabo TAN Lucas and TANta Cruz, are amazing though! Cabo TAN Lucas is a warm bronze gold with fine golden shimmer that works beautifully as a highlighter on my complexion. It instantly lifts my cheeks and gives me the most amazing glow that looks natural yet can be built up for a crazy golden glow. I thought TANta Cruz would also be more of highlighter for me but I was blown away when I discovered that it actually does work as a bronzer on my brown skin. TANta Cruz is a deep bronze with very fine gold and silver shimmer that doesn’t really translate once applied to the skin. Instead of delivering an insanely gorgeous glow like Cabo TAN Lucas, TANta Cruz gives more of a subtle luminous finish that seriously defines my cheeks without looking flat or unnatural. I absolutely love it!
I do give LORAC the side eye for not being more inclusive of us guys and gals on the deeper end of the spectrum but I still enjoy using the Take Me To TANtego TANtalizer Bronzer Palette from time to time. It’s super cute and convenient for travel plus the formula is pretty darn good too. Similar to LORAC’s shadows, each bronzer features a soft, buttery texture and buildable pigmentation that’s a breeze to apply and blend. Each bronzer melts into the skin for a seamless bronzed, sunkissed look that keeps you looking summer ready for around 8-10 hours before showing some signs of fading depending on the heat, of course. I still think the LORAC Take Me To TANtego TANtalizer Bronzer Palette is best for light to medium complexions but it’s also workable for brown skin too. If you’re a dark skin diva, I recommend trying it in store first before adding it to your collection.
