Summer Empties!
Buying new beauty products is easy. There’s always something shiny and new around the corner that tempts us to switch products in the blink of an eye. I know I’m guilty for changing my lipstick, highlight, eyeshadow and more on a regular basis so it seems almost impossible for me to use up all my makeup. Skincare, on the other hand, is a little different. Once I find a good skincare product I stick to it until the death of it. That’s how I’ve managed to rack up a small pile of skincare empties this summer. From cleanser to serum, I’ve actually managed to make a commitment to a few beauty products until the very end. Here’s a quick rundown of all of my summer skincare empties:
Bobbi Brown Hydrating Rich Cream Cleanser ($32.00)
Bobbi Brown isn’t just about great makeup. She’s also a skincare powerhouse with an extensive line of serums, moisturizers, cleansers and more. One of my favorite picks is her Hydrating Rich Cream Cleanser. It’s a rich, milky cleanser formulated with avocado butter, jojoba oil and grape seed oil to remove makeup, cleanse and purify skin all without stripping those precious natural oils. I have pretty dry skin that can feel very tight and dry after cleansing but that’s not the case with the Hydrating Rich Cream Cleanser. Instead, my skin feels soft, supple and hydrated before I even apply my moisturizer. I also love that the rich, hydrating formula actually gives me a nice thorough cleanse breaking down all of my makeup leaving my skin feeling fresh and breathable. The Bobbi Brown Hydrating Rich Cream Cleanser is a great option for makeup lovers with dry skin.
Pixi Glow Tonic Exfoliating Toner ($29.00)
Usually when I finish a skincare product I’ll move on and find something new but the Pixi Glow Tonic Exfoliating Toner has been so good to my skin that I’ve kept it in rotation for about a year now. I’ve ran through 3 bottles of this miraculous toner including the jumbo size I scored at Ipsy Gen Beauty LA. That’s how good it is! The Pixi Glow Tonic Exfoliating Toner is formulated with 5% glycolic acid, aloe vera and ginseng to firm, tighten and gently exfoliate for brighter, clearer skin. From the first time I tried Glow Tonic, I noticed my skin felt more smooth and looked more radiant. Over time, my dark spots began to fade, my complexion looked brighter and more even, and my breakouts became much easier to control. The Pixi Glow Tonic Exfoliating Toner has been a lifesaver for my dull, uneven dry skin and will probably be a staple in my routine for more years to come. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a healthier more even complexion.
Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask ($52.00)
I wear a lot of makeup on a regular basis so when I wash it all off I like to detox my skin and give a chance to pull all of the makeup, dirt and oil out of my pores. Sometimes, detoxing skin means using harsh masks but Peter Thomas Roth took a different approach with his Cucumber Gel Mask. It’s formulated with a botanical blend of cucumber, papaya, chamomile and more to soothe, hydrate and detox dry irritated skin. The Cucumber Gel Mask is the only mask I can use almost everyday to soothe my dry, tired skin and help reduce pesky breakouts from makeup. The second I apply it, my skin feels moist, cool and clean. Exactly what I need after a long day of makeup and work! The Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask is a must have for dry, sensitive skin that’s easily irritated or needs a little extra moisture. I’m already planning on picking up another jar!
Juice Beauty Green Apple Age Defy Serum ($52.00)
I live for a bright, even complexion so the Juice Beauty Green Apple Age Defy Serum was a great addition to my skincare routine. At first, I was a little disappointed that it wasn’t too hydrating but I soon got over it when I realized how much it improved the texture and appearance of my skin. The Green Apple Age Defy Serum is an organic serum formulated with natural alpha and beta hydroxy acids to brighten, firm, plump and protect skin from free radical environmental damage. It made my skin look more radiant, even and firm in no time. I definitely recommend the Juice Beauty Green Apple Age Defy Serum to anyone struggling with early signs of aging or wants brighter and firmer skin.
Clinique Turnaround Concentrate Extra Radiance Renewer ($44.00)
Before I attended a training, Clinique never used to to excite me but after trying a few products I think I’m becoming a big fan. The Clinique Turnaround Concentrate Extra Radiance Renewer (now Turnaround Revitalizing Serum) has become one of my favorite serums right next to my beloved Lancome Genifique. The Turnaround Concentrate Extra Radiance Renewer is a creamy serum designed to optimize cell renewal to promote healthier skin that feels smoother and looks brighter. From the moment I apply Turnaround Concentrate Extra Radiance Renewer my skin glows and glows while feeling soft, smooth and hydrated. The formula has worked wonders for my dry skin by adding a nice touch of hydration to my moisturizers and making my skin look much brighter and naturally radiant all day long. I literally glow like tomorrow before even touching any of my glow essentials! The Clinique Turnaround Concentrate Extra Radiance Renewer is a must have for anyone looking for a natural glow and a little extra moisture.
