Anastasia Beverly Hills Sundipped Glow Kit Review
“Fancie, you don’t need another highlighter for life. Don’t buy it!” Chile, if I had a dollar for every time I said this to myself I would have enough money to buy this Glow Kit and another one with money still left over. I just can’t control myself when it comes to highlighters! It seems that Anastasia Beverly Hills is well aware of my weakness (along with every other makeup junkie) because she just keeps cranking out these damn Glow Kits like they’re going out of style. You’d think after the first 2 versions we’ve had enough. But nope! Anastasia whipped up 3 more of them and I ended up buying 2 of them for good measure. Aka because they were shiny, new and cute so I needed them.
One of the latest additions to the Glow Kit family is the new Sundipped Glow Kit. It’s a gold and bronze based highlighter palette that can be used on the face, eyes and lips just like the rest of the Glow Kit gang. I think all of the Glow Kits are brown girl friendly but Sundipped is hands down the best of the bunch because it features deeper shades of bronze and gold that look absolutely amazing on dark skin divas.
The Sundipped Glow Kit includes:
- Bronzed deep caramel bronze with a golden pearl
- Summer light champagne with a golden pearl
- Tourmaline taupe bronze with a rose gold pearl
- Moonstone peachy gold with a golden pearl
I think anyone could use and ultimately fall in love with Sundipped but I definitely think it’s best reserved for brown skin. Each shade seriously pops and offers a nice touch of warmth and a killer golden bronze glow that can be applied sheerly for a natural glow or layered on for a highlight that’ll stop traffic.
I love all of the shades in Sundipped by Bronzed and Tourmaline are my favorites, hands down. I have quite a few highlighters similar to Summer and Moonstone but I love how Bronzed adds a nice sunkissed glow that makes my brown skin look like Egyptian gold and how Tourmaline’s rose gold glow adds a little extra oomph. Since I’ve picked up Sundipped, I’ve been pulling it out religiously to highlight my cheeks for the gods, brighten the inner corners of my eyes, add a touch of glamour to my lids and brighten my cupid’s bow. Basically, I’ve been bathing in Sundipped and I love it!
All 4 highlighters have a very soft, silky smooth texture with a finely milled formula that’s very pigmented and easy to blend. Each shade glides on beautifully whether I’m rocking a liquid, powder or cream foundation. My favorite way to apply my highlight is with a fan brush but the Sundipped Glow Kit goes on smoothly using a variety of brushes including my MAC 159 Duo Fiber Brush. The wear time is really nice too. I found that all of the shades last for around 7-8 hours before showing very slight signs of fading with Bronzed and Tourmaline lasting the longest thanks to their more pigmented base color. At first, $40 seems a little steep for the Sundipped Glow Kit but it’s actually quite the bargain considering that you’re getting 4 highlighters that can also work as bronzer (depending on your skin tone) and eyeshadow for just $10 a pop. No to mention, the pans are very large and a little goes a long way so you’ll be highlighting your best features for years to come with this baby!
