Fancie Faves

It seems like summer just started and then bam! It’s September. Now we’re pushing into fall and getting ready to switch out our glossy bold lips for something a little more sexy. Like vampy mattes. I’m never ready for the colder weather but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t love fall makeup. I love the sultry, smokey vibes and rich earth tones that come with fall. I love it just as much as I love the more fun releases we see in the summer. Even though I’m ready for fall makeup I know I’m going to have a hard time kissing some of my summer faves goodbye. Lucky for me, some of my recent faves can easily transition into fall. Which is a huge plus because I seriously fell in love with some new products in August that I’m not ready to let go at all.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette Modern Renaissance may have been a summer release but it’s certainly a palette that will stand the test of time! It has 14 neutral shades that range from warm to cool with most of them being matte with just a few shimmers in the mix. I didn’t think I needed the Modern Renaissance Palette at first but once I finally laid eyes on it I couldn’t resist it. I love that there’s a solid 5 crease shades allowing me to create as many looks as I can imagine all with one palette. I can go smokey or natural with ease and the shadows are pigmented and buttery that they’re a dream to work with. Anastasia really outdid herself when she created the Modern Renaissance Palette. I haven’t been able to put it down since!

Smashbox Out Loud Always On Liquid Lipstick I rarely do orange lips but when I spotted my two favorite coworkers rocking Smashbox’s new Out Loud Always On Liquid Lipstick I was all over it. It’s not your average orange lipstick that makes your lips look irritated, pale or overwhelmed. Out Loud is a more deep, sultry orange that instantly adds warmth and a sexy flair. Especially when paired with a vampy red lip liner. I found myself wearing Out Loud every single time I went out for a night on the town last month because it pairs well with literally everything and makes a statement without trying to hard. Plus the Always On formula is very easy on the lips while still lasting all day.

Hourglass No. 28 Primer Serum When I tried Hourglass’ Primer Serum a year ago, I deemed it my holy grail winter primer and then switched to a handful of other primers for summer. The No. 28 Primer Serum is very rich and hydrating so I always thought it would be a little too much for summer. However, after receiving the Hourglass Vanish Seamless Foundation Stick I was curious to bring it back out and see how it would work in the summer with their new foundation. Baby, life was given that day! I fell in love with the No. 28 Primer Serum all over again because it instantly smoothed out my skin and made it appear more plump and radiant without feeling heavy or greasy. And my pesky fine lines? Gone! I almost forgot just how good the No. 28 Primer Serum was but now it’s back in heavy rotation for the rest of the year.

Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick & Brush Talk about a dynamic duo! The new Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick and Brush completely blew me away last month. The foundation stick is smooth, creamy and easy to blend with medium to full coverage that’s so natural it literally looks like skin. Every time I wore it, I received compliments on how smooth my skin looked and how flawless my makeup was. I soon found myself wearing it everyday because it looked so damn good! The brush is also a win. The Vanish Seamless Finish Brush is the perfect brush for the foundation stick. It buffs that baby in like a dream leaving my face looking airbrushed and flawless. Both the Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick and Brush have become holy grail status in my book!

Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer Color me crazy but I have no idea why Tarte went with the name Shape Tape or considered this a contouring concealer. Either way, I’m still absolutely obsessed with the formula! The new Shape Tape Contour Concealer offers full coverage in a single swipe (seriously one swipe) with a radiant, creamy formula that dries down to a perfect semi-matte finish. I decided to take a leap of faith after seeing so many glowing reviews and now I have to add to the list because the Shape Tape Contour Concealer is seriously the best I’ve ever tried. For years, I relied on NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer to highlight as it creases the least on me compared to other concealers but Shape Tape has it beat. This stuff doesn’t really crease on me at all. Which is amazing! I can even set it with powder without my eyes looking like they’re gasping for water. It’s another product that’s reached holy grail status last month.

Tarte Tipsy Amazonian Clay Blush If I had to choose one non-orange blush to wear for the rest of my life Tipsy would be it. Hands down. Tipsy is one of the most beautiful blushes I’ve ever tried and from the second I applied it I’ve been hooked. It’s a soft pinky coral that shows up with ease on my brown skin and looks incredibly natural. Tipsy makes me look like I’ve just been kissed or just stepped off the dance floor after a few margaritas. Basically, it gives me the perfect flush! Even though it’s more of a summery shade, I don’t think I can give Tipsy up just yet because it looks so pretty against my brown skin.

Tarte x MakeupShayla Tarteist Contour Kit When I first found out that Tarte was releasing a deeper version of their contour kit and it was modeled after one of my favorite YouTubers, MakeupShayla,I was practically bouncing off the walls. After seeing her countless snaps, I had a feeling it was going to be good and went ahead and ordered it so I could add it to my collection. Now, the MakeupShayla Tarteist Contour Kit is my baby as I pull it out every single time I highlight and contour. It comes with 2 killer contour shades that are perfect for my complexion as well as 2 beautiful highlighters, a soft pretty blush and a good setting powder. The Tarteist Contour Palette has become my best contouring friend as it’s so easy to use and works so well with my complexion. I can totally see myself hitting pan on one of the contour powders soon!
