New Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer Shades!
Usually when a new makeup product receives a ton of rave reviews on social media I’m skeptical. I’m either wondering:
“Is it really that great?”
“Who’s paying you to sing these praises, girl? I need the receipts.”
That’s exactly how I was feeling when the new Tarte Double Duty Shape Tape Contour Concealer hit Ulta and literally everyone was deeming it the best concealer in the world. Concealers always crease on me almost immediately so I’ve kinda lost faith in concealers. Well, I did. If you follow me on Snapchat or Twitter, then you’ve probably seen me singing the praises of Tarte’s new Shape Tape Contour Concealer too because it really is the best concealer ever. Really.
The Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer has become my holy grail highlighting concealer because it offers creamy full coverage in a single swipe and a natural, radiant finish that doesn’t really crease on me. I’m kicking myself for not posting my review yet but once I get my before and afters out the way I’ll be sure to share because everyone needs to try this concealer. Whether you’re oily or dry, the Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer will become your new complexion BFF because the formula is so damn good.
The only downside was that it came in just 6 shades that weren’t encompassing at all. The biggest problem was that it only featured one dark shade in Deep. Luckily, Deep fit me just fine but there were many brown skin beauties left out because they were in between shades. I’m still giving Tarte the eternal side eye because they’re honestly pretty terrible when it comes to their complexion shade range but I appreciate that they’ve realized the success of the Shape Tape Contour Concealer and expanded the shade range. Now there’s a few more shades for my lighter skin sistas and a whopping 3 shades for us brown skin beauties. Still not that great of a leap for my dark skin divas but it’s a start. A small start but a start nonetheless. If you’ve been dying to try the Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer but couldn’t quite find a match I’m hoping you’ll be able to find one in the new shades!
