Black Friday Haul!
Time is seriously flying by because Black Friday was almost a month ago and Christmas is next weekend. Crazy right?! As you can imagine, Ulta has been bananas so my schedule has been hella crazy. So crazy that I’m somehow just managing to share my Black Friday goodies with you. Better late than never, right?
After stuffing my face all Thanksgiving long, I found myself full, exhausted and ready to cuddle myself to sleep. Of course, I wanted to stay up and catch some of the nice Black Friday deals going on but my body just couldn’t make it. Thankfully, I have an amazing boyfriend who managed to order almost everything on my Ulta Black Friday list before it all disappeared. I just love him! One of the first things on my list was the It Cosmetics Je Ne Sais Quoi Your Perfect Pink Duo. It’s a lipstick and lip gloss set that contains a full sized Je Ne Sais Quoi Vitality Lip Flush Stain Lipstick and Je Ne Sais Quoi Vitality Lip Flush Stain Gloss. The Je Ne Sais Quoi lippies are designed to hydrate and plump the lips while giving them a customized rosy pink flush once it mixes with your natural chemisty. The Je Ne Sais Quoi Vitality Lip Flush Satin Lipstick and Gloss are both nicely moisturizing so they feel incredible on the lips and they really do give my lips a nice pink flush. I’m very happy I was able to get the Je Ne Sais Quoi Your Perfect Pink Duo! Especially for just $24. Both the lipstick and gloss are over 20 bucks a pop so this set was a real steal.
Mascara is probably the one piece of makeup I wear the least and yet I still managed to add one to my list for Black Friday. Don’t judge me! The Urban Decay Big Fatty was discontinued earlier this year and as a result we’ve seen the Big Fatty Mascara get knocked down to $10 twice this year. The first time, I was able to resist it but this time I figured it was worth a try. The Big Fatty Mascara is designed to lengthen and volumize lashes with a chunky spiky brush. The brush looks like it’ll do a great job at gripping and separating lashes so I have a feeling that I may end up liking it. I’m going to try it soon and let you know what I think!
The Tarte Color Wheel Amazonian Clay Blush Palette has been keeping my cheeks busy (and happy) all season long but when I saw that Ulta knocked the new, limited edition Becca Blushed with Light Palette down from $34 to $17 I said, “What the hell?” Three Becca Mineral Blushes for under $20? Yes, please! Becca’s blushes are smooth, pigmented and blend into the skin like a dream so it was only right that I added the the Blushed with Light Palette to my list too. The Blushed with Light Palette features 3 blushes including:
- Wisteria Mineral Blush rosy mauve
- Songbird Mineral Blush shimmering tangerine
- Snapdragon Shimmering Skin Perfector Luminous Blush luminous coral pink
All 3 shades work for a variety of complexions including my dark skin divas so it’s a great holiday buy for anyone on your list. I wish my friends were more into blush because I so want to go back and buy a couple more as gifts!
At the very top of my list, was the PUR Cosmetics Elevation Perfecting Highlighter Palette. The PUR Elevation Perfecting Highlighter Palette was definitely the star of the show as it was one of the first blockbusters to sell out. The palette features 3 highlighters and a mini fan brush including:
- Boost champagne gold
- Altitude antique yellow gold
- Upgrade peachy gold
All of the highlighters are absolutely beautiful and really pop against my brown skin. I can definitely see why the PUR Elevation Perfecting Highlighter Palette flew off the shelves in stores. It’s absolutely beautiful! Not to mention, the cute little fan brush PUR tossed in is actually quite soft and seems like it’ll work very well. The PUR Elevation Perfecting Highlighter Palette was definitely one of the best value deals for Black Friday!
Buxom is a new brand that I’ve learned to love this year so when I spotted this cute mini kit for just $10 I was all for it. The Bundle Up, Baby kit was an Ulta Black Friday exclusive and featured a full sized eyeshadow, mini eyeliner and mini lipstick including:
- Style Icon Eyeshadow shimmery champagne gold
- Sultry Mauve Big & Sexy Bold Gel Lipstick rosy pink
- Come Over Hold the Line Waterproof Eyeliner deep metallic bronze
The mini Big &v Sexy Bold Gel Lipstick is seriously tiny but it’s still pretty comfortable to hold and I actually love the color. It’s a great natural pink that looks very pretty on my brown skin. I can definitely see this being a great lipstick for work as it’s nice and creamy and doesn’t seem to be drying at all. I’m obsessed with the eyeliner though! Come Over has this chunky, multidimensional glitter that really stands out and dances in the light. I can’t wait to smudge it on my bottom lid for a little extra glam. Style Icon is rather pretty too. It’s very dupable though considering pretty much everyone has a shimmery gold eyeshadow on the market but I can see myself pulling it off very easily and I can’t deny that Style Icon is still quite pretty.
