Pucker Up with the Butter London Fancyfull Lippy Liquid Lipstick Set
Whether you’ve managed to be a responsible spender all year or you hauled it all (like me) everyone deserves to cut loose a little during the holiday. We work a little harder. Make a little extra money. So why not treat ourselves just a tiny bit more here and there? Yeah, girl, give in to this peer pressure. ‘Cause you know I’m going to push you to buy it all this holiday season with no shame! This is the perfect time of year to indulge because you get a really great deal or lots of variety at a good price.
This year isn’t quite as tempting as last years holiday’s offerings but there’s still some amazing picks that had me doubling back for more. Even when I know I don’t need it. After Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty, I’ve taken a liking to Butter London’s Plush Rush Lipsticks and Glosses so when I spotted the limited edition Fancyfull Lippy Liquid Lipstick Set for holiday at Ulta I went ahead and snatched it up. The Fancyfull Lippy Liquid Lipstick Set features 4 full sized Lippy Liquid Lipsticks for just $29. The Butter London Lippy Liquid Lipsticks are $18 a pop so to score 4 for $29 and get 2 limited edition shades to boot is a steal. There’s no way a lippie lover could pass this up!
The Butter London Fancyfull Lippy Liquid Lipstick Set includes:
- Tickled Pink pale cool baby pink
- Dahling rosy pink
- Spiked Cocoa neutral mauve-brown
- Mulled Wine soft burgundy wine
I’m a huge fan of all of the colors with the exception of Tickled Pink, of course. It’s a little too light and too cool for my brown skin so it makes my lips look like ashy sausages. However, Tickled Pink doesn’t look so bad when paired with a lip liner. The rest of the gang is good to go though for my dark skin divas. Dahling makes for a great everyday soft pink lip that’s not too pink yet not too boring. Mulled Wine adds a nice pop of color that’s sophisticated yet flirty and looks great on anyone. Spiked Cocoa is definitely my favorite of the bunch though as it’s the perfect nude lip for brown skin. I’m wearing Spiked Cocoa right now and I literally just tossed it on. No lip liner or lipstick. I went for Spiked Cocoa straight out of the tube and it looks lovely. Butter London should totally make it permanent!
The Butter London Lippy Liquid Lipstick formula is a different kind of liquid lipstick and I like it. It’s not like the regular matte liquid lipstick formulas at all. The Lippy Liquid Lipsticks are like a hybrid lippie. It feels like a gloss and has the pigmentation of a lipstick. The Lippy Liquid Lipstick formula reminds me a lot of the NYX Butter Gloss formula as it goes on nice and creamy with a plush, buttery gel-like texture that’s lightly moisturizing and easy to wear. The Lippy Liquid Lipsticks are much more pigmented than a NYX Butter Gloss though and they’re slightly thicker (but not too much) so they seem to last a bit longer. I just slipped on Spiked Cocoa before writing this post so I can’t comment too much about the wear time. However, I can say that I’m really digging the Butter London Lippy Liquid Lipsticks so far and I highly recommend scooping up the Fancyfull Lippy Liquid Lipstick Set at your local Ulta!
