Peach Me, I’m Dreaming!

Too Faced Sweet Peach Collection Swatches on Dark Skin

Just when you thought Too Faced couldn’t get any cuter, Jerrod turns around and whips up an entire Sweet Peach Collection filled with eyeshadow, lip gloss and more that all smell like freshly picked peaches. I’m dying! I’m a sucker for cute packaging and yummy smelling makeup so you know I was all over the Sweet Peach Collection. My obsession first started last year when Too Faced dropped the Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette and set the makeup world (and my soul) on fire. Now, I’ve got an entire collection of Sweet Peach goodies to pair with it and I’m oh so giddy. Yay for peaches!

Even though the Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette isn’t new it’s still causing a massive uproar on social media (and in stores) because it sold like hot cakes during the first release last year and is now back for everyone who missed it. After dabbling in the Sweet Peach Palette for quite some time I can easily see why there’s so much hype surrounding it. The Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette features 18 neutral shadows in a range of shimmers, satins and mattes that vary from fun, warm peachy shades to everyday browns and sultry plums. I’ve been a fan of Too Faced shadows for years because I find that they’re pretty pigmented and rather easy to blend–including the Sweet Peach Palette. I recently pulled this beauty back out to create some peachy makeup magic and it’s been a hit every time. I love how soft and silky the shadows feel and how well they blend together for a clean, seamless look. I have to give Too Faced a huge round of applause for bringing this one back!

Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow Highlighting Palette Swatches on Dark Skin

The Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette isn’t the only palette in the bunch! Jerrod and the gang also created a Sweet Peach Glow Highlighting Palette to give our cheeks a touch of peach too. The Sweet Peach Glow Highlighting Palette comes equipped with a shimmering gold illuminator, peachy pink blush with golden shimmer and a soft tan bronzer with a satin finish. When pictures of the Sweet Peach Glow Highlighting Palette first hit social media I just knew it was going to be the best thing since sliced bread. However, now that I finally have my hands on the Sweet Peach Glow Highlighting Palette I’m a bit disappointed. The illuminator, blush and bronzer are all very sheer and barely show up on my brown skin without having to pack it on. The highlighter and blush are decent when layered on but the bronzer still seems hopeless. So far, I’ve only tried the Sweet Peach Glow Highlighting Palette once but I’m not too impressed. I really wish Too Faced would have beefed up the pigmentation with this one.

Too Faced Sweet Peach Papa Don't Peach Blush Swatches on Dark Skin

The Sweet Peach Glow Highlighting Palette might be a miss but the Papa Don’t Peach Blush is quite nice! Papa Don’t Peach isn’t crazy pigmented but it isn’t nearly as sheer as the Sweet Peach Glow Highlighting Palette so it actually shows up on my brown skin without a ton of layering. The only thing is that Papa Don’t Peach doesn’t offer too much color. I notice a little warmth to my cheeks when I apply Papa Don’t Peach Blush but I get more of a soft peachy glow that doubles as a highlighter. Which I like because it makes Papa Don’t Peach an excellent everyday blush for dark skin divas because it’s easy to apply without overdoing and adds a quick glow when you’re in a pinch. Plus, Papa Don’t Peach makes a great base for the lackluster Sweet Peach Glow Highlighting Palette as it helps the blush and highlighter pop way more. When paired together, Sweet Peach Glow and Papa Don’t Peach makes my cheeks look like a goldmine. They’re so gorgeous together!

Too Faced Sweet Peach Creamy Peach Lip Oil in Papa Don't Peach Swatches on Dark Skin

I’m also rather obsessed with the matching Papa Don’t Peach Creamy Peach Oil Lip Gloss. It’s a warm peachy beige with a hint of pink that makes a great nude gloss for brown skin beauties. Papa Don’t Peach isn’t too sheer but it’s not completely opaque so you get just the right amount of color while your natural lip color shines through. I’m not the biggest lip gloss fan but after trying on Papa Don’t Peach I had to get it because it felt so good on the lips! The Sweet Peach Creamy Peach Oil Lip Gloss has a thin, creamy texture that’s weightless and lightly moisturizing. It isn’t sticky or tacky so Papa Don’t Peach is really comfortable to wear. I wish Too Faced tossed in another brown girl friendly nude shade in the mix because I think the yummy peach oil formula is too delicious to pass up!
