Skincare Sunday: Current Faves
It’s Skincare Sunday loves! Every Sunday, tons of beauty junkies share their favorite skincare products or current routines on social media and I thought it would be a fun idea to swing it over here. Skincare is really starting to become a passion of mine so I’d like to start having a little more skin talk with you guys.
Who doesn’t want to look flawless without makeup? I know I do! And I know you do too, girl! That’s why I can’t bear to leave you hanging without sharing some of my skin secrets. So here’s a quick rundown of some new goodies that have quickly become my faves. Enjoy!
Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater
The Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater has been a staple in beauty lovers’ routines. From professional makeup artists to stay at home moms, Mario Badescu’s Facial Spray has become a cult favorite because it’s so refreshing and incredibly versatile. It can be used as a toner, makeup priming spray and finishing spray. You can also use the Mario Badescu Facial Spray to touch up dry skin throughout the day or at night to boost your night cream. It’s pretty much a miracle in a bottle! As a toner, I find the Facial Spray to be just okay. The Facial Spray really shines when you pair it with makeup and other skincare products like moisturizers and serums. It preps my skin nicely for both makeup and skincare as it adds a light hydration boost and leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth. I spray it every time I wear makeup (before and after) and it makes my dry skin look so dewy and dreamy!
Tarte Maracuja Oil
Spring is almost here but it’s still pretty cold here in Michigan so I’ve been loading my skin up with all the extra moisture and nourishment it can get. I recently picked up the Tarte Maracuja Oil after hearing so many good things about it and now I’m completely hooked like everyone else. This oil is life! Most oils can be used all over the body but it’s rare for me to find an oil that keeps my hair, skin and nails moisturized and smooth. But the Tarte Maracuja Oil manages to make it happen. A drop of this stuff into my moisturizer keeps my dry skin moisturized and luminous all day long without looking greasy or making my makeup slide right off. I also love to add a couple of drops of Maracuja Oil to my hair and nails because it makes them look shiny and healthy. Don’t play yourself like I did and put off trying the Tarte Maracuja Oil. You need to try it asap!
Clinique All About Eyes Serum
This isn’t the first time I’ve posted about the Clinique All About Eyes Serum and it certainly won’t be the last. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: this stuff is a must have for dry eyes! And puffy eyes. And dark circles. Basically, if you have eyes, you need to get to the Clinique counter to buy this serum because you need it! Since I’ve started using the Clinique All About Eyes Serum my pesky dry eyes are much less dry and my fine lines are much less noticeable too. With most eye creams, I’d find that my eyes would be super dry by midday leaving my concealer looking dry, cracked and cakey. Using the All About Eyes Serum (along with an eye cream) has dramatically changed the texture and appearance of my eyes and it’s helped a ton with my makeup too. I highly recommend it!
Tarte Maracuja C-Brighter Eye Treatment
I fell hard for the Philosophy Take a Deep Breath Eye Gel Cream but when the winter weather rushed in it I had to switch things up. My dry eyes craved a richer, more hydrating eye cream like Tarte’s Maracuja C-Brighter Eye Treatment. After playing with it at Ulta, I decided to go ahead and order it because it felt so good. Once I finally patted the Maracuja C-Brighter Eye Treatment on my thirsty eyes I knew I had found the one. This stuff is thick but absorbs quickly and leaves my parched eyes hydrated, smoothly and instantly brighter. I’ve only been using the Tarte Maracuja C-Brighter Eye Treatment for a couple of weeks but I’ve already noticed a change. My eyes appear much brighter and they don’t get quite as dry either. Of course, the Clinique All About Eyes Serum helps with that too but the Tarte Maracuja C-Brighter Eye Treatment is still a pretty solid eye cream on its own.
