#BlackGirlMagic: New Taraji Viva Glam Collection Coming Soon!
Hold up, wait a minute! Let me sprinkle some #BlackGirlMagic in it! I was starting to think we’d seen the last of MAC and Taraji. But they’re back! Last year, we got a taste of auntie Taraji’s fierce yet sophisticated makeup style when she launched two campaigns with MAC. It all started with her first Viva Glam Collection (see it here) and then expanded into a small yet mighty collection (swatches here) that sold out in minutes. And for good reason! Taraji’s collection was the best collection MAC has created for WOC in years.
Taraji’s MAC collaboration was so good it left many MAC junkies begging for more. It appears MAC heard our cries because the pro-makeup artist brand just announced a follow up Viva Glam Collection with Taraji. * cue the hallelujah chorus *
After all the shade and race drama (see it all here), I’m pleased to see Taraji sprinkling her unique brand of #BlackGirlMagic. Senior MAC artist, Ashley Rudder, dropped a sneak peek of the swatches today and I’m in complete awe. Taraji’s new round of Viva Glam lippies are looking mighty delicious and perfect for chocolate cuties. Go Taraji and MAC!
Both the lipstick and lip gloss will be available on September 7th for $17 at all MAC locations. Except Ulta, maybe. All proceeds of Taraji’s Viva Glam Gold Collection will be donated to the MAC AIDS Fund.
