Natural Foundation Routine with Fenty Beauty
Normally when people think of makeup they automatically think layers of cake face. Or drag queen makeup. Makeup is so much more than that! Makeup is meant to enhance your God-given features and highlight your unique, natural beauty. You don’t have to completely rearrange or alter your face! I always receive compliments on how natural my makeup always looks. So it’s only right that I give you the scoop on my natural foundation routine!
I love a super glam beat face as much as the next makeup lover. However, I don’t always feel the need to go all out. Most days, I opt for a simple, natural barely there look. Just a little foundation, concealer, powder, bronzer and mascara. Maybe a little eyeshadow or highlighter if I have extra time.
The Basics: Foundation and Concealer
I’ve completely fallen in love with the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Long Wear Foundation in 420 and the Match Stix Matte Skin Stix in Suede. Both have a stunning skin-like, soft matte finish that looks incredibly natural on me. Plus, they’re both quite easy to apply! For my natural foundation routine, I use my trusty ELF Powder Brush to apply my foundation and concealer. Using the same brush allows for the concealer to blend into the foundation a bit better. You won’t get that sharp, noticeable line between your foundation and concealer like you would sometimes using a sponge or separate brushes. Not to mention, you don’t have to use a ton of brushes!
The Extras: Bronze & Highlight
Foundation and concealer are great for brightening and evening up your complexion. However, the combination can make skin look a bit flat. That’s why I like to add a little bronzer to bring a little definition and shadows back to my face. I recently picked up the Black Radiance True Complexion Contour Palette and ended up being very impressed with the quality. It’s pretty good!
The Black Radiance True Complexion Contour Palette features a Contour, Sculpt and Highlight powder to help bring definition and light back to the face. I use the Contour shade as a subtle bronzer to help add warmth and definition along my cheek bones and the perimeter of my face. Then I add a little bit of the Highlight to the tops of my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose to add a glam touch to my natural foundation routine.
The Finishing Touches: Setting Powder
You can’t have your makeup sliding and fading off! So I made sure to set everything nice and tight with the new Maybelline Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder in 35 Deep. The Maybelline Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder is very lightweight and finely milled so it glides on like butter and absorbs into skin easily. Perfect for my natural foundation routine! There’s no flashback or ashy ghost-white cast. Just a flawless finish!
