New Foundation Time!

New Foundation Time!

New year, new foundation! For years, I’ve been relying on my trusty Make Up For Ever Pro Finish Multi-Use Powder to even my complexion and help me look flawless but now that the new year is here I think it’s time to finally try something different. At first, I was determined to completely finish the Pro Finish Powder since I’ve never completely finished a foundation. Or an entire powder. When you collect makeup like Pokemon, it’s a huge accomplishment to actually finish a product. Especially something long lasting like a foundation.

But the more pan I saw, the harder the Pro Finish became to use. I had to swirl like crazy to completely cover my foundation brush and it didn’t help that the poor compact was falling apart after one too many spills. I hated to say goodbye to my trust Pro Finish Powder but it was time to make the switch to the Bobbi Brown Skin Weightless Powder Foundation I got a while back.

The Skin Weightless Powder Foundation is a lightweight powder foundation with a silky formula that’s similar to the Pro Finish Powder but a still quite a bit different. The color #8 Walnut is almost identical to my #178 Pro Finish Powder but the Skin Weightless Powder Foundation is a little more lightweight with less coverage. I’ve been using the Skin Weightless Powder Foundation since the new year has kicked off and I’m slowly but surely starting to like it. I have to admit that it’s not quite as good as the Pro Finish Powder (sorry Bobbi!) but it’s a pretty nice contender and plays nicely as a setting powder for my liquid foundations too. I’m still testing out the Skin Weightless Powder Foundation so I won’t go too much into the wear just yet but I will say if you like lightweight powder foundations and don’t need too much coverage you just may like it!
